Please join The Watershed Institute virtually on February 20 and hybrid (in-person and virtual) on February 21 for an event focused on
resiliency through restoration at the 8th Annual New Jersey Watershed Conference. We will discuss strategies and ways to work together so that communities can become more resilient towards climate change and hazards by restoring essential environmental services in degraded watersheds. Planning for resiliency requires that we establish long-term, flexible, strategies. These strategies should not only address the current challenges we face, but also address future impacts of climate change, whether predicted or unpredictable. Restoration
with nature-based and
engineered solutions should be a key strategy to
address the negative impacts.
The conference will include opportunities for networking to foster understanding and collaboration between stakeholders across regions. Topics will include a wide net of important policy, science, stewardship, and education approaches. There are options to attend virtually and in-person. Continuing education credits will also be available for relevant sessions.
